Do you have standard pre-fabricated Safe Rooms or is everything custom built?
At this time everything is custom built to the exact specifications and requirements for our clients. Generally because of the various locations, doors etc., of where our safe rooms are installed since no two are alike. For example, Master Bedrooms, Game / Media Rooms, Large Walk-in Closets and designated hidden Safe Rooms.
Once inside the Safe Room, how can we monitor the threat and or know when it is safe to come out?
Each Safe Room is installed with our ADS VisComm System that provides real time video surveillance of both the interior and exterior of your home. The system also provides you with secure cellular and satellite communications to Emergency Services and others.
Are we safe from fire?
This is a complicated question and one we will discuss upon meeting with you. The short answer is yes…for a limited time. Depending on the Safe Room System design you chose, you can remain inside for up to 2 hours.
Can we accidentally lock ourselves in the Safe Room?
No…you have both an Electronic Locking System that with the push of a button locks and unlocks the door(s) as well as a Manual Override in the event of power failure. Both of these are permanently located INSIDE the Safe Room so you will always have access.
Can we just get Security Doors through American Defense?
Absolutely yes. In fact, Security Doors are our #1 seller. Obviously each home has multiple doors leading from the outside and bedrooms. Our security doors will stop anyone who tries to enter your home through a door with both brute force, tools and firearms including AR-15’s - AR-10’s & AK’s 47’s…and lesser calibers.
What is the price of our Safe Room Systems?
Each Safe Room is different in Size, Internal Equipment such as Surveillance & Communications, Door (Concealed vs Visible) etc. Depending on the clients requests we often travel to meet the client and or their security team so we can clearly understand what our client’s requirements are. Within a week after our visit we provide a complete quote listing the entire scope of the job. We realize that potential clients can want a “Ball Park” quote based on approximate size requirements…this we can do but prefer to do this via the phone or secure email to protect the client’s privacy. How does the payment process work?
We require a 50% deposit at the time the contract is signed. Another 25% will be due when we provide the pictures and video of your Safe Room assembled in our production floor which will be within a week of the shipment to the jobsite. The balance will be due upon delivery.
What is our warranty process?
We will fix and or replace any manufactured component that is defective or has failed for the life of your Safe Room. As for products we do not manufacture such as Surveillance Systems and Communications equipment we will extend one year beyond the manufactures warranty.
How long does the process take from the day of visiting the client until delivery?
No less than 2 months and no more than 6 months depending on the complexity of the project and our production schedule. Often times with new home construction it can depend on the builder and their schedule.
Do you work with our Architects and or Builders?
Yes – we do everything for you so you can relax and enjoy life. Our engineers and designers will work hand in hand with your architects and builder to ensure you are getting exactly what you want…without any headaches!
Who installs the Safe Room?
We have a professional team that will travel to the location of the project and coordinate / install the Safe Room and its internal systems such as Surveillance and Communications. Each Safe Room is pre-assembled on our production floor to ensure each component goes together with precision and ease. From there we label each piece of the Safe Room and package it and custom pallets which are overwrapped with a protective shipping material. We then load onto the freight carrier’s truck and then meet that truck at the jobsite.
What is the lifespan of a Safe Room?
Each component of the Safe Room is sprayed with a protective coating that is imperious to weather (high humidity areas). We dare say that your Safe Room will be standing longer than any of us.
Where do we deliver and install Safe Rooms?
Anywhere in the world.
Does our pricing include installation?
Yes, unless otherwise noted in our quote. Some clients have their own installers. These systems are easy to install and come complete with a professionally written manual and video link to your specific Safe Room. Our quotes will also include freight from our manufacturing plant direct to the jobsite. Pricing is Turn-Key.
How large of Safe Room can ADS manufacture?
Any size our clients require. We can actually turn every wall and door passage into a Safe Room without any visible signs to the outside eye. Your home or office will look completely normal…it’s what’s in-between the walls and the doors that you don’t see that matter.
